Nintendo GameBoy Micro Reviewed

By JohnW on Wednesday, October 5th, 2005 in Announcement, Games and Toys, Mobile Goodies.

Nintendo GameBoy Micro
The Nintendo GameBoy Micro was cute in size, nice design of changeable face plate and bright colorful screen!

    Quote:
Nintendo has released ANOTHER version of the GameBoy, and much to our delight it doesn’t suck. First thing is first, the Micro is tiny. The portability is awesome; this can slip into any pocket and not be uncomfortable at all. One concern is that this could be too small to enjoy gaming with the tiny buttons, but surprisingly that isn’t an issue either.

Some possible downsides is that the Micro only supports GameBoy Advance titles and there is a different power adapter so another slew of accessories will be made available. Thoroughly impressive and $99 isn’t too bad of a price.

PSP firmware downgrade from 2.0 to 1.5
Some people have been successfully downgrade the buggy PSP 2.0 firmware back to 1.5. Check it out below!

    Quote:
    PSP firmware downgrade:
Well if you haven’t heard by now there has been a hole found in the 2.0 firmware that allows you to run small portions of code. And with this hole some very clever people have made it possible for 2.0 PSP’s to be succesfully downgraded to 1.5. (SWEET!) This will then open up homebrew to you once again. I for one am going to try it out even though there is a slight chance of breaking the PSP. With this new exploit there will probably be a firmware 2.1 or something released with new features and a patch. (I won’t fall for it again though.)

You can get a better sound/music with portable device that built with this LCD compare with my Palm TE that the speaker is “shouting” at the back!

    Quote:
The 2.5 inch Casio display has 960×240 (320×240 actual pixels) and is 3.2mm thick. The speaker is made from piezoelectric ceramics. Casio can offer the display in mono and with stereo speakers. The sound quality is supposed to be good.
The Casio Sound LCD display could drive the size of portable video players down even more.
