Palm Vein to door key

Palm vein to door key
As “ma ma” told you, clean your hand or else you can’t get in!

Brilliant technology, but make sure you “update” your palm if you got cut your palm some where.

Palm Vein Authentication Technology is being put to use at the entrance to the Clio Shonan-Chigasaki condominium complex. Designed as a security measure, the hygenic technology allows users to simply wave their palms over the device, which then reads palm veins to verify that the individual belongs in the building. Sound ridiculous? Well, palm veins are apparently very difficult to forge, and false acceptance and rejection rates for the technology are less than .02%. We’re not even kidding.
